Peter Taylor, Managing Director

Since establishing Taylor Shaw in 1998, Peter Taylor, Managing Director, has built a team around him of experienced professionals who are committed to the highest levels of customer care and innovation.

In the last 9 years he has built a £14 million organisation, as well as many long-lasting customer relations which are a reflection of his belief in providing open and honest communications as well as superb customer care.

Peter takes a nurturing approach to the team and is a highly respected leader.

Steve Shaw, Operations Director

When Peter formulated his ideas to create the business, he knew that it was essential to get the best possible team around him, and Steven Shaw was the obvious choice. Having worked together for many years Steven joined with Peter and together Taylor Shaw was created.

Grant Flexman-Smith, Financial Director

Grant Flexman-Smith FCCA has more than 20 years accountancy experience with customer focussed employers in the advertising, retail and contract catering sectors. Well aware of the importance of systems and the people who use them, he heads up a growing, hard-working department dedicated to providing timely and accurate information to their clients. Building strong relationships with the rest of the Taylor Shaw team, client contacts and suppliers has been fundamental in achieving this.

Jan Sherlock, Human Resources Manager

Jan Sherlock joined the team in October 2006 to support the senior managers on all aspects of HR.

Jan has 15 years experience as a senior HR Manager within the food industry and has also been involved in training young people on catering courses. She is a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and acts as Secretary for the local group committee.

She strongly believes in supporting staff at all levels to reach their full potential.

Paul Newton Sales Manager

Sales Manager, Paul Newton is very experienced in contract catering matters having spent some 30 years in the Industry in both Operational, Training and Sales roles, and is committed to providing Clients with bespoke solutions to their requirements whether it is a Business and Industry or Education contract
A trained chef, Paul fully understands all aspects which make up the Taylor Shaw service and involves his Operational colleagues throughout the Sales process.
Keen on the use of fresh locally sourced ingredients and Fairtrade products, Paul takes keen interest in the provision of quality Catering Services for Clients.
